Yes, and there a few point of attention.
1/ Check the end-charge voltage settings
You just have to check in your battery manual that the recommended voltages aren’t under Watt&Sea converter’s. (14,3V / 28,6V)
Usually this voltages are ok but if there is a difference, it’s possible to set it up with a mobile app for 2019+ devices or for older ones : a computer software, available here.
2/ Wire a stop relay
Some Lithium Battery Management Systems (BMS) like Mastervolt / Victron require to be able to stop production sources, for safety reason. Then, a relay has to be used (available in « accessories ») to short-circuit the generator when you’d like to stop the production.
This relay has to be used associated with a braking resistor to dissipate the energy produced by the generator and to prevent the generator from overheating.
3/ Disable the battery auto-detection loop
On other brands of lithium batteries, the safety shutdown of production sources is not always possible. In such case, the BMS can potentially shut-down the batteries without any warning. This can lead to troubles if at the same time, the are energy sources on the network.
In such installation we recommend to force the converter to the battery voltage with the setting below, via mobile app or PC app :
Charge mode :
0 = autodetect 12/24
1 = force 12V
2 = force 24V
( 3 = force 48V )
