If your service battery bank and engine battery bank are each connected to a battery output of the converter, connecting the batteries together would be equivalent to paralleling the two outputs of the converter. This action has no impact on the converter, which will continue to operate normally.
I use both battery outputs of my converter, one for the engine battery and the other for the service battery. What happens if I want to connect the two batteries together?
